BURN BACTERIA VS. LAB TEST RESULTS

The chart below reflects the range of bacteria isolated from burn wounds identified through numerous studies. Staphylococci aureus, Proteus mirabilis and streptococciwere the commonest isolates. The other Gram negatives were P.aeruginosa (4.5%). Salmonella, E. coli and Klebsiella spp.

Independent laboratory tests were conducted on Staphylococci, Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), Proteus Mirabilis (gram negative bacilli), and Streptococci. The test results herein encompass over 85% of bacteria isolated from burn wounds identified through the studies. Our laboratory results reflect a >99.999% reduction rate of the bacteria in all samples within 24 hours. Moreover, 2 samples resulted in a reduction rate of >99.999% within 1 hour (see below for specifics).
